It’s that time of year again! Every weekend from May until September will be full of bridal bliss! For many of you, this also means attending several weddings with a lot of the same guests, and of course you don’t want to wear the same dress to every wedding (but if you do, kudos!). From the showers to the gifts, Uber rides and the dress, the costs add up. I have selected for you 9 of my picks for appropriate wedding guest outfits under $100! We have some for under $75 and $50, too. You don’t need to spend an arm and a leg to look good. All of the dresses are linked below for you to shop right from here!
I love Chicwish for a classy, feminine dress. I wore one to the last wedding that I attended and received so many compliments on it! I love that they are more modest, and some of them are vintage inspired. It is a great website for when you want something that brick and mortar stores can’t provide. I adore the halter neckline of this dress, and soft blush colour. PRO TIP: find out what colour the bridesmaids are wearing so that you don’t end up looking like one!
This Zara dress is perfect for a mid-summer wedding when you want to stand out in a crowd, and stay modestly dressed. The colour is sure to get you noticed, and the silhouette is very on trend. They have a ton of dresses online and in store right now that are perfect for attending weddings.
H&M also has some stunning selections for wedding-wear this year. I love the periwinkle colour of this lacy midi-length dress. You could pair it with a simple nude heel or wedge, and very minimal gold jewelry. You could easily make this dress more casual or dress it up for a fancier wedding. Shoes, hair, and accessories go a long way.
Are you someone who doesn’t like to shop fast fashions? I get you. No need to spend hundreds on a boutique- check out Evelynn by Nicole Snobelen! Nicole is a longtime friend of mine, and designs the cutest and COMFIEST dresses. I have worn her creations to many events, and even had my own bridesmaids wear her pieces! The best part is that her designs look good on ALL body types. None of the garments use any sort of closure, and it is all the most comfortable knitwear fabric.
Think you need to wear a dress to a wedding? No way! Jumpsuits are all the rage this year and mega popular for weddings. Dynamite has this one that can be dressed up for a wedding. It would be cute with black or white heels, some fun earrings, and an edgy clutch. The only downside of a jumpsuit? Bathroom breaks.
Another great H&M dress is perfect for a more casual wedding. I love the modest silhouette, and the violet colour. This could be worn to a wedding, and dressed down with a jacket for dinner the next day! It is key for saving money to invest in a dress that can be worn to more than one event. To dress it up, style with nude strappy heels, and to dress it down, try cute snakeskin booties and a leather jacket!
For a cute, summery number, check out this find from F21! I love how they have styled it for day to day with the sneakers, and adding a jean jacket overtop would pull it all together! For a wedding, pair it with cork/rope wedges, and a simple necklace and earring set. A straw bag would really make this ensemble pop!
Got an invite to a swanky wedding, and you already maxed out your budget on the gift?! (**not trying to be a work plug buuuutttt)** check out this beauty from Urban Planet! Not only is it just under $50, but they ALWAYS have some sort of additional sale on it, making it a complete steal! The amount of times that I have worn a UP dress to a wedding is mind blowing, so don’t count out this store for a steal on a beautiful dress.
Want to buy a dress that’s more fun than traditional? Check out this vintage number from Shein! I recently purchased some clothing from their extremely well priced website, and I was pretty impressed with the quality of the items. I wouldn’t risk buying a short dress, as it will probably arrive and be super risqué, but I think that you’ll be safe with this midi length gem.
Dresses can get to be expensive, we don’t always have even $50 to spend on one per month, so don’t count out stores like Plato’s Closet, Winners/Marshalls, and Thrift stores. I have found some of my best dresses for way under $50 while thrifting, and the best part is that you won’t be wearing the same thing as anyone else! Wedding season is a big one, but it can be done on a budget!
